With Mt. Kilimanjaro, the Serengeti, and Ngorongoro crater, Tanzania is endowed with some of the world’s most amazing attractions. Tanzania’s hidden treasure however is still awaiting discovery. The Usumbara Mountains abound with ways to experience the culture, people and truly magnificent, inescapable scenery. Tourists can easily spend days, weeks or even months enjoying a variety of cultural and environmental tours.

Really interesting organisation
Thomas Wilson, London, UK, Usambara Mountains 18th-21st March
I just completed a 3 day trek through the Usambara with Tayodea and can speak very highly of the organisation. From the outset Tayodea and specifically my guide Said, was friendly, professional, informative and helpful. They offer enjoyable tours but at the same time seem to demonstrate a sincere committment to helping their community. The trek itself was very enjoyable through some breathtaking scenery and as we strolled through the mountain villages we met some of the friendliest people I've encountered in Africa so far . I lost count of the number of times I heard Jambo Mzungu only to turn round to find twenty smiling faces running after me! All in all I can recommend this organistaion highly and hope that by my taking a tour with them some of my money will be able to make at least a small difference in the lives of the people of Usambara.
