Tours Overview

The scene: Natural treasures in the Mountains. Cool and green, the Usambaras are a double Mountain Range that form part of the geologically ancient Western Arc chain. While fairly densely populated, their isolation and climatic stability have given them a degree of biodiversity unequalled on the rest of the continent.

Not – to – be – missed: attractions include the famous African violet and the wild palm date, or among the endemic fauna and flora, the rare Usambara eagle owl, kenrick’s starling and Usambara Warbler. The place can be visited in cornfort all year round. If you’re looking for a peace and quite, however, you will appreciate the Usambara Mt. (Lushoto) a haven of subtropical tranquility situated in the heart of the Mountains.

Our guides: All Our Guides grew up in the Usambara Mountains. They have a wide cultural and environment and knowledge of the region. Every guide has finished secondary school and has studied Tourism and Wildlife in Tanga. All of them speak English and Kiswahili fluently.

We know that a friendly and flexible guide is essential for a great trip, and be sure we do our best to make your days in Lushoto unforgettable!
